Yahoo is a major innovator in mobile experiences and content delivery. The objective of this prototype testing and research study was to communicate the critical usability issues and identify key customer satisfaction insights to the global team.
 
Mobile testing
We conducted a series of detailed usability tests and one-on-one, in-depth, qualitative interviews which covered the key customer tasks.
 
We also used observational techniques to understand customer engagement and delight.
Learnability
Given this was a new product, we looked in detail at its learnability, considering both the ‘out of the box’ experience and its continuing use.

Outcomes
The iterative usability findings from this study helped Yahoo! take a great but complex prototype and fine tune it into a critically acclaimed mobile service.
